Back-To-Back Champs

The Raiders claimed their second consecutive MAIS Class 6A state championship with a 65-54 triple-overtime win over Hartfield Academy. This is the first back-to-back title for JA since a four-peat (2004-2007). The Raiders improves to 23-4 and will now aim for their second straight Overall Tournament title.

In a thrilling championship game, JA was tied 9-9 after the first quarter and led 28-20 at halftime. Hartfield took a 45-41 lead late, but JA rallied to tie the game 45-45, sending it into overtime. After two more overtime periods, JA dominated the third, outscoring Hartfield 11-0 to seal the win.

Marcus Goodloe led JA with 23 points, while Schyler Chambers added 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Caleb Gaitor contributed 11 points.
