Why the Golden West Motel?   Because it is the PERFECT spot for bikes and it is owned by Vince, a V-Strom owner and bike enthusiast! 

Vince will play host to this pre-gathering spot!  Not only is he providing access to his motel and great camping area ...He's throwing a BBQ complete with beer and good fun.

On Friday you can make your way to Reno via an assortment of routes.

So, what you need to do:
-Motel Call Vince and reserve your room so that you'll have one!  Let others know if you want to share/split costs

Campers:  Call Vince and let him know that you plan to come so that he knows.  He's got a great spot for tents.  Also, the current plan is for Vince to set one motel room aside for camping folks to use for restroom/showers so please be prepared to chip $ in for this room.

ALL:  Very generous of Vince to throw the BBQ ....so be sure to let him know that you're coming and chip $ in for this .......or coordinate before hand and let him know what fantastic item that you're contributing!

Attendees, will be smack-dab-in-the-middle of some of the best roads in the world.  This makes getting TO Sonora as well as the Friday ride to Reno a real treat.

Friday:  ---A near infinate amount of routes to choose from, Barry has hand-picked three fun-filled routes to get to Reno and will provide details so that you can pick the best one for you!  Or, you can blaze your own trail!

The concern with this pre-meet  is that these folks might have so much fun that they'll skip Reno all together!

Historic Ely on THURSDAY NIGHT May 31.   Whether you come south from Las Vegas or from the north or east, this will be the place to be.  Meet up with fellow stromers, have some Nevada style food and fun in Ely and then Friday morning ride with the infamous Don Simone to Reno.  Don will guide you through some of Nevada's best and you'll learn what "real Nevada" is all about. 
 

AND, for those who want to start the fun early .......Here it is ....an awesome opportunity:

......Imagine this:  A Father and three sons on a world record setting ride ......from Ushuaia Argentina to Prudhoe Bay Alaska (ON V-STROMS!!) are eager to meet up and be part of the eastern pre-meet.

Not only does their ride capture one's imagination, but they are doing this to raise over $100K for Children's Cancer Care.

They will be in Las Vegas Wednesday Night May30 ...and then will ride WITH YOU up to Ely starting early Thursday Morning.  Details of meeting spot in Vegas forthcoming.
