THANK YOU to the over 100 people who participated last year. It was a huge success. We received great feedback, and making new friends and riding partners was what we heard the most. Hence, this year's theme: Camaraderie and Fun This year there will
be some changes for the better -and you are encouraged to take the lead
on any good thoughts that you may have to make 2007 a great success.
We will have just enough organization to help enable people to make the most of what they each want to do. Anyone who was part of 2006 knows that this will be a diverse group! Most all want to learn about the Strom and get ideas. Many are coming with the throttle wide-open looking to ride hard, many want some dirt and many want casual riding and enjoy the beautiful local scenery. There will be something for everyone. |

Pre-Gathering Locations: -
A whole new twist and different from last year, this will be done in four spots to encourage comradery and new friends. Pick the spot that best suits you. A great chance to meet and ride with other folks. North:

Sonora California
East:
Ely Nevada (Ride there with the Noble
Quest posse!)
...and of course f... we'll have a Thursday meet-up in Reno as well. Friday

Saturday Night Dinner/Presentations :
-We are now doing and OUTSIDE BBQ at Crystal Peak Park a park near Boomtown. Just a few minute ride via back roads. This is going to be casual, ...in fact so casual that there are not enough picnic tables to seat everyone at one time ...so everyone's understanding and courtesy is appreciated. This will most likely be BYOB, ..but all details have yet to be worked out. Never to early to start letting mother nature know that we want good weather. We'll also have others
who have volunteered some great and interesting products and
expertise.
Those who have done unique, fun or interesting things with the Strom
-or
have knowledge that will be helpful to others -don't be shy!
Sunday Some morning riding ..many guys teaming up to start the ride home. Last year many stayed and we set up a casual Sunday dinner that was much fun. |
This is a "ride your own ride" gathering. Hence, no one is obligated to anything and everyone is expected to ride within their limits. We're moving away from the heavy riding focus of last year and instead letting everyone do what works best for them. For those who want to ride with other folks, you will find lots of great company and make new friends. Like last year, we'll make Adventure Moto Stuff the mid-day Friday destination. Saturday was a big ride day for nearly everyone last year. The link below has last years rides, which may be of help for those looking for ideas. Ifif you have a ride that you'll be doing and are excited about it -invite others along. Rumor is that Bareman is heading over to LaPorte Rd (near Quincy) to ride that area ...and of course for those with a honed throttle this promises to be some serious riding. (image) We also plan to do some "how to's" on basic dirt riding skills/techniques as well as more organized dirt rides. More info on this and more coming soon! Whatever you choose to do, ride the best route and pace for you. Have fun and pick some like-minded riding buddies. With the new schedule, you'll have good opportunity to find these folks. |
